AND SPRING BEGINS...

I'M ALWAYS EXCITED TO DESIGN A NEW SEASONAL PALETTE BUT THIS SPRING'S COLLECTION IS ESPECIALLY BEAUTIFUL.

The look is fresh and illuminated with bronze tones complmenting bold lips. And for a more subtle approach, eyes are strongly defined with waterproof felt tip liners accompanied by sheer peach and gentle mauve lips.

The skin is center stage right now, accented with illuminating powder and transparent blush that match the lips of the same tone. A lovely addition to a custom blend foundation that feels light yet corrects any imperfections. Another option for coverage is my Tinted Moisturizer with SPF of 20.

Colorsticks are a light, cream formula in a pencil applicator and a breeze to use!
Coastal is a sheer Bronze and Morning Haze is the perfect highlighter for under the brow, inner eye and center of the lid. A seasonal favorite but will soon become your staple.
Carousal Colorstick is pink and has a little pop to it and Sublime falls in to a mauve category.
Hush Lipshine is a beautiful sheer peach, subtle and perfect on most skin tones.

New products are in and flying out the door so make your appointment today for a customized SPRING look to suit your needs!

Felt tip liners in Emerald Mist and Black: $20
Illuminating mineral powder in Moonbeam: $32

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DYE MAKES

As we move on through life, the sun and every day exposure to the outdoor elements, inevitably begins to show their signs. As a result, our eyebrow hair can gradually get duller and lose it's luster.
Most often we don't notice because the fading is gradual but eventually the affects catch up to us making our eyebrows appear thinner.
A simple solution is to dye the eyebrows a half shade darker to deepen them to their original color and or cover any gray that may have snuck in. The result is back to natural and always makes the brows appear fuller than ever.
An eyebrow tint can last up to six weeks but only when done properly. Regular hair dye will not last as long since it is designed for the hair on our heads, which is made of a whole different chemistry altogether. A proper dye, specifically made for eyebrow hair, will insure longer lasting results.
And just as you would only trust a professional of your choice for your hair, the same choice should be made for your perfect eyebrow colorist.

Make your appointment today and restore your eyebrow youth.

EYEBROW TINTING: $28

MY BEST RED LIP TIPS

This season RED lips are one of the hottest looks. For some, red is a signature look, for others too intimidating to wear. Here are a few tips for those that are feeling a bit shy to try the look and for those who wear it already.

FIRST:  Anyone can wear red lips as long as it's the right color FOR YOUR SKIN TONE.
If you have YELLOW undertones, a warm red with orange undertones are the most natural
              looking.
If you have PINK undertones, a cool red will look most natural. Perhaps one with burgundy
              undertones.
But the easiest choice is a TRUE RED like my new fall/winter shade micro RED. I fid it
looks great on everyone including the shy that never thought they could wear red.

But, whatever your comfortable choice is, these application tips will make your lipstick last much longer and look softer.

NOW:  You must first make sure your lips are soft, not dry and cracking. To avoid that I highly
recommend my amazing LIP BALM in vanilla as a prep. Just a small amount to moisten but
not so much that it makes your lipstick bleed later on. You should also be sleeping with the
balm on so they never have a chance to GET dry.

NEXT:  Apply a SMALL amount of foundation over your lips to even out the surface and color.
Then, line your lips with a natural/nude color such as my deep natural pencil. Don't be shy
with it because now you are going to blend it with a small lip brush. Distribute any excess
              product over your entire lip.

THEN:  Pat a small amount of loose powder over the blended pencil. Your lipstick will have a
better surface to adhere to for staying power.
NOW:   ALWAYS use a lip brush, especially when applying red lipstick. A brush will keep you from
using too much product that just gets messy later. Your brush size should be determined by the
size of your lips. Too large and it's hard to maneuver. Too small and it takes too long! Just
paint a THIN layer, brushstrokes should go downward, not across. This will give you a
              softer, almost stained look.

LAST    VERY GENTLY blot with a tissue to remove any extra product that will move around.
STEP:

AND:     If you are still worried about bleeding take a small fluff brush and carefully dust a little loose
powder around your lip line. That will create a barrier if the lipstick wants to migrate.

So there you have it. Don't be shy and give RED LIPS a try!
Any products I mentioned are available in the studio. and I am always available for any make up tips in person or over the phone.

THANK YOU. HAVE FUN!!!

Fall | Winter 2012 Collection

Fall | Winter 2012 Collection
Provocative. Dramatic. Daring.

A little dangerous. A little mysterious.

Deep, cool jewel tones are dominant this season with emphasis on the eyes, and for the daring, dramatic lips as well in the same tones.

Eyeliner takes center stage by layering a matte cake with a shimmer overlay. The dimension is beautiful.

Cheeks are reminiscent of skin exposed to a chilly, sunny afternoon.

A welcome change for the fading kiss from the summer sun.

T.L.C. Healing Lip Balm has finally arrived!!

I am so excited and proud to announce the much anticipated arrival of T.L.C. lip balm I've been working on for the last year. Natural healing ingredients  aloe vera, vitamin e and macadamia oil repair chapped, dry lips and keep them soft. While working it's magic it looks like a gloss so it can be worn over lipstick or alone for a pretty sheen. I highly recommend sleeping with it on for even better results.

It comes in clear with a vanilla and coconut scent and a natural pink tint with a fruit scent.

I've had incredible feedback from those who have tried it and have heard words like "obsessed and addicted."
It retails for $42 and is available at the studio and on www.trompeloeilcosmetiques.com
